Travel to Australia

Plane:

Both Sydney and Melbourne have connecting flights to Albury/Wodonga. However, we do recommended flying in to Melbourne and flying out of Sydney to take advantage of the pre and post conference tours. Below are details for both cities. If flying Qantas refer to this document - by speaking with the contacts listed here AND quoting the name of the conference, you should be able to get a good deal on your flight.

If coming from Europe many airlines fly into Melbourne and Sydney. Depending on the airline, stopovers are available in Singapore, Bangkok or from the US, Honolulu or New Zealand.

From Melbourne Airport

Train:

Catch a Skybus to Southern Cross Rail Station. From there change and catch the train to Albury. Visit these websites for timetables www.vline.com.au or www.countrylink.info/home

Car:

You can hire a car at the airport. Follow signage to M5 Eastern Freeway then to Hume Freeway. Get off at the first exit for Albury. Approx driving time 3 hours. NOTE in Australia we drive on the left side of the road.

Bus:

From Sydney Airport

Train:

Catch the train at Mascot and take it to Central (15 min journey). At central connect with the train to Albury (8 hour journey). You may need to book a night's accommodation before embarking on this long journey. Visit website for timetables or www.countrylink.info/home

Car:

You can hire a car at the airport. Follow Directions to M5 for Hume Freewary. Get off at the first exit for Albury. Approx driving time 7 hours.

Bus:
