Proposals for SIEC Conference

Consider presenting a proposal for the 2009 SIEC/ISBE Conference to be held in Colchester, Essex, England, August 2-7, 2009. Download the Call for Presentations and Submission Form for more information and to apply.

 

If you are interested in presenting a workshop:

• Plan for a 90-minute session
• Include an introduction and discussion and/or activity
• Workshop topics and discussion points are shared in advance of the sessions. Participants come to the sessions expecting to be involved. Plan about 20 minutes for an introduction; the remainder of the session should be an interactive activity/discussion

For presenting a seminar:

• Plan for a 60-minute session
• Include an introduction and discussion
• Seminar topics should be of immediate interest to participants. Include time in the seminar session for discussion and sharing. It is useful to prepare a briefing paper to distribute to participants.

A Presentation:

• Plan a 60-minute session on a topic of interest
• Include participation by the audience with an activity or question and answer period

Visual aids and handouts on the topic are expected
