Call
for Workshops and Seminars
We are accepting proposals for workshops and seminars for the 2008 conference in Waterford, Ireland. Submissions from U.S. ISBE members should be sent to Lila Waldman, Secretary, SIEC Pedagogical Committee, ITBE Department, UW- Whitewater, 4015 Carlson, Whitewater, WI 53190. Non-U.S. members need to submit proposals to their Pedagogical Committee representative.
Workshop and seminar proposals are requested which follow the conference theme of “Global Changes - Local Challenges.” Descriptions of each are listed below:
Workshop: (90 minutes) A workshop may be repeated if
time allows in the program. Topics and
presenters are selected by the SIEC Pedagogical Committee. Ideally the workshop presenter will use about
20 to 30 minutes of the session time to introduce the topic, and the remainder
of the session will consist of audience interaction.
Seminar: (60 minutes) Again, topics and presenters are
selected by the Pedagogical Committee.
Ideally the seminar will use about 40 minutes of the time to cover the
topic, and the remaining time will be available for a question-and-answer period.
