Judee Timm

Greetings from ISBE President, Dr. Judee Timm

It is my sincere pleasure to welcome you to the ISBE
website and encourage you to consider joining our international
friends and colleagues in the activities offered through the
International Society for Business Education.  As we all know,
all business is global and presents exciting challenges and
opportunities for those who are prepared.  Effective teaching and
learning in this 21st century business environment demands an awareness and understanding of how local concerns fit into the bigger picture of global interaction.

ISBE offers a variety of resources for teachers and students to advance their understanding of strategies and methods needed to succeed in this very complex environment.  Student and teacher scholarships, international networking opportunities, informational publications, and a wonderful yearly conference all are geared to helping the classroom teacher bring relevance to their course offerings.

Next summer our international conference will be held in Albury Wodonga, Australia http://www.siec-isbe.org.au/conference. As many of you who have attended past ISBE conferences can attest, the program offers an exceptional opportunity to not only share teaching and learning practices from around the world, but to get a “bird’s eye” view of local culture, history, and business practices through company visits, intercultural performances, and meetings with local political leaders.  It is always a tremendous learning adventure that is shared with colleagues from all over the world.

If you would like any additional information about our organization, please do not hesitate to contact me a jtimm@mpc.edu or check out our international website at http://www.siecisbe.org. We look forward to helping you discover a world of opportunities in international business education.
